Fucking Awesome

Jason Dill and AVE's unapologetic vision for what skateboarding should be – raw, real, and completely unfiltered.

Fucking Awesome

When Dill and Van Engelen started FA in 2001, skateboarding was getting dangerously close to sanitized. While other brands were polishing their edges for mainstream appeal, these guys doubled down on the gritty reality of actually skating. Their videos don't feature perfect spots or clean landings – they show the Richmond-style street reality where you're more likely to get kicked out than film a line. The graphics pull from horror movies, metal bands, and whatever else speaks to people who understand that skateboarding's outsider status isn't something to overcome, it's something to celebrate. Sage, Sean Pablo, and Nakel aren't trying to be your role models; they're just really good at skateboarding and happen to represent a brand that gets it. FA's approach to apparel follows the same logic – if you recognize the Gummo reference on that tee, you're probably the right customer. At Venue, we stock FA because they've never compromised on what made them authentic in the first place, and in an industry full of calculated moves, that's worth supporting.
